It’s time for some real talk – not everybody loves having their picture taken! (gasp) In fact, I’m one of them. So when Cyndi and Kurt arrived for their engagement session and Cyndi told me she was a little nervous I knew exactly how she was feeling. Now here’s the thing, I’m used to clients that are nervous or a little uncomfortable when we start our session and I have a plethora of tricks up my sleeve that leave clients saying “oh my gosh – that was so easy and so much fun” by the time our session is over. I was fully prepared to don my photographer cape and come to the rescue to make Cyndi feel relaxed. As we started our session and the two of them loosened up, I started to see more and more of their personalities and it was so clear that the real cape wearer was Kurt and Cyndi together. It was like they suddenly fell into telling their story, focusing on each other, and really showing the spark that makes Cyndi and Kurt, Cyndi and Kurt. The little glances, laughs, and silly dance moves were what really made this session shine. So here’s to focusing on what really matters during your engagement – the two of you and forever. No matter what photography session, couples shower, or planning decision you have to make, keep the two of you at the core and you’ll be just fine. Cheers to Cyndi and Kurt!
